Consortium VMI awarded new contract to build 5th Waste Incineration Line HVC Dordrecht

HVC has recently awarded the VMI consortium a Turn-Key contract for building the 5th Waste Incineration Line in Dordrecht. The contract was signed on 7th December 2007 while the shareholders have approved the contract on 12th December.

The consortium partners are Visser & Smit Hanab (consortium leader and boiler supply), Visser & Smit Bouw (civil works) and Imtech Deutschland (thermal equipment). Lab (flue gas treatment), Martin (bunker and firing grate) and Imtech Nederland (automation and electrical equipment) are exclusive partners.

It is expected that early 2008 construction works will start, while at the end of 2009 / early 2010 start-up takes place. Total investment is around € 155 million.
